The Gift of Perfect Conditions
Dieu Donné is situated high on the steep south-west facing slopes of the Franschhoek Mountains, encouraging a cool climate and combined with the rocky soils of weathered granite, a unique terroir has been created.
In our cellar, Gregory Siebrits who has been with Dieu Donné since 1998, crafts a collection of easy-drinking new world styled wines as well as old world reds that stand up to other well-known wine regions, such as Bordeaux in France.
Visit our tasting facility adjacent to the restaurant or just enjoy a glass of wine on the upper terrace while soaking in the scenery.
Hennie du Toit, Dieu Donné’s farm manager was born on the farm, once called Uitkyk, which was sold when he was 13 years old.
Little did he know that he would return to his roots, mind the pun.
Dieu Donné literally means “A Gift from God” or “God Given”
What a wonderful discovery!
The spectacular mountain scenery viewed from Dieu Donné Vineyards endorses this translation.
